If you're in the Mullica Hill area and craving a blend of authentic Chinese and Japanese flavors, Tokyo Mandarin should be at the top of your list. Located at 141 Bridgeton Pike, this cozy spot offers a delightful variety of dishes that capture the essence of both cuisines, making it a must-try for food lovers.

Walking into Tokyo Mandarin, you're greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The interior strikes a perfect balance between casual comfort and a touch of elegance, making it ideal for a quick lunch or a more relaxed dinner. The staff are always friendly, ensuring that you feel right at home as soon as you step through the door. It’s easy to see why this place has become a local favorite.

Their menu is a perfect reflection of the diverse culinary influences they embrace. Whether you're in the mood for something bold and spicy or prefer a more mellow, savory dish, there's something for everyone. For starters, the dumplings are a crowd favorite, always served hot and packed with flavor. Whether you go for the classic pork or venture into something a little more adventurous, you can’t go wrong. The crispy edges of the dumplings give them a satisfying crunch, while the inside is juicy and tender, offering a comforting bite.

If you're looking for something a bit more hearty, the sushi rolls here are exceptional. They offer all the classics, like California rolls and spicy tuna, but it's their specialty rolls that really shine. The Tokyo Roll, packed with fresh fish, avocado, and just the right amount of spice, is a standout, with every bite delivering a perfect balance of textures and flavors. For those who love a bit of heat, the Dragon Roll is a must-try, with its spicy kick that complements the sweet eel and crispy tempura flakes.

But the real treat at Tokyo Mandarin is their Chinese-inspired dishes. The General Tso’s Chicken is a perfect example of why people keep coming back. The crispy chicken is coated in a rich, tangy sauce that's not too sweet but still bursting with flavor. The dish is complemented by a side of perfectly steamed rice, making it a satisfying and filling choice. If you’re in the mood for something lighter but just as flavorful, the kung pao chicken is a great option, offering a nice combination of spicy, savory, and a touch of sweetness from the peanuts.

Another gem on their menu is the beef with broccoli-a simple yet deeply satisfying dish. The tender beef pairs wonderfully with the fresh broccoli, and the savory sauce ties everything together in a comforting, mouth-watering way.

Service at Tokyo Mandarin is always on point. The waitstaff are attentive without being overbearing, and they take the time to make sure you're enjoying your meal. The food comes out quickly, and it's always served fresh, which speaks volumes about their commitment to quality.

Whether you're in the mood for sushi, Chinese comfort food, or something in between, Tokyo Mandarin delivers it all with style and flavor. It’s no surprise that this local gem continues to win praise from regulars and newcomers alike. The combination of great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a standout in Mullica Hill, and it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

What People's Say About Place

A fairly typical Chinese restaurant with a seafood heavy menu that’s a nice change of pace. Tucked away in little shopping center there’s plenty of parking and the plaza is easily accessible. The food was excellent with generous portions and quality ingredients. Prepared with care the dishes with both a visual and culinary delight While we enjoyed the seasonal music there’s not much more that can be said of the atmosphere. The bench seating was a little run down but the over vibe was one of cleanliness. The service can be best described as average. As long as you are ordering menu items without deviation you should be fine. I made the mistake of requesting fried rice with my dish and was promptly shutdown as if I’d insulted the servers honor. All in all it one of the better sit down eateries in the area. They clearly are popular and have a brisk take out business as well. I can see myself eating there again without hesitation (or fried rice).

We just had dinner this morning. The food is hot taste delicious. We order the beef broccoli, and Thai mango chicken for our breakfast. I like beef better. The server is super nice. Everything meets our expectations. Lunch is only $9/ $10 per person, very affordable.

The man who was answering the phone to take orders and simultaneously putting the orders together and taking payments was amazing at his job. He was juggling so much and I don't know how he handled it all. I was picking up two orders and it was very busy tonight. He held everything together and I don't know how he did it. Although the line was very long, he got me out the door as quickly and considerately as possible, and I am very thankful for him. We enjoyed our food as always, and truly appreciate the top-notch service.

Food was so good , place very clean , fast service fresh & hot food ! Enough portion to take home !

Staff friendly, food is always good and ready on time. Clean restaurant. No complaints. Sometimes can be busy but that’s because people in the area know the food is good.

This is the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Cannot stop talking about how delicious and fresh it tasted.

FOOD IS HORRID. If you are VEGETARIAN, STAY AWAY. The options are so poor, and FLAVORLESS. I cannot express how upset I was, to spend $30 for food I DID NOT ENJOY. Vegetable Lo mein LACKED flavor, NO sauce, and SCARCE veggies. The bean curd was the MOST DISSAPOINTING. Tofu was raw, and thrown in a WATERY GEL sauce with FROZEN PEAS. THIS IS NOT QUALITY. Edit; I am editing this since the owner responded, seeing they are willing to correct the issues I faced, I have to award them for the outstanding customer service. I still cannot give 5 stars due to the quality of food I faced, but I will appreciate this business for valuing the customers relationships.

Ordered take out and dined in once. Service for pick up was very friendly, pretty good Chinese food, also liked their green dragon rolls. When I dined in, not the same friendly experience — I think their waiter was in the middle of his lunch, so things took a while. Won’t dine in again, but will still order takeout.
